Membership Information

Zonta International and the Zonta Clubs membership is by invitation only. Membership is a responsibility that requires time, resources, and financial commitments. We are an active service organization and are committed to making a difference in the status of women in the community.

Membership Eligibility and Classification
Membership is open to executives or professionals in recognized businesses, institutions, or professional occupations based on Zonta classifications. Applicants must be working at least 50 percent of a normal week and willing to support the objectives of Zonta.

Members are executives or professionals in a recognized business, institution or profession working at least 50 percent of a normal week and willing to support the objects of Zonta.

A member's classification is based on occupation. Zonta's classification system consists of hundreds of occupations. The classification system is based on an international standard used by every country in the world to classify occupations in their population census and a composite of many country lists.

Membership Responsibilities
Applications are reviewed by committee based on Zonta's eligibility requirements. The membership committee then forwards the application for review and approval at the next monthly board meeting. If no member protests or questions your eligibility, you will be mailed a letter inviting you to join our club.

If you have any questions about Zonta, please feel free to contact any of the directors listed on this web site.
